FAQs
What are the benefits of Muay Thai?
Muay Thai offers a full body workout burning up to 1000 calories per session. As well as increasing your cardiovascular health, it improves stamina and mobility. Cultivating self discipline, resilience and respect, it does as much for the mind as it does the body. It is a great stress buster and confidence booster too. There’s no work out quite like it! Classes are also a great way to socialise and it’s never too late to start.
What if i've never trained in Muay Thai before?
No problem, we welcome all levels of fitness and can guide you through the classes. We recommend starting with the beginners class or a PT to teach you the basics. First group class is free.
I am unfit, will I be able to join the class?
Yes! Classes can be as hard or as easy as you make them. We will adapt to your level and encourage you along the way. We all started somewhere.
How can I enrol in a class, can I just show up?
Please message us first to book your free trial.
What should I bring?
Wear comfortable loose fitting clothes to allow you to move freely. If you have your own hand wraps and gloves, please bring them. Otherwise we have some you can borrow. If you enjoy the class and want to sign up as a member, we recommend buying your own gear (which we can give advice on). If you intend to run before training, please bring shoes, otherwise we train barefoot. Don’t forget your water and a sweat towel.
What can I expect?
Classes are fun filled and energetic. The team are very welcoming and always pleased to see new members. Please visit the ‘Classes’ section of the website for description of each class.
Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely. Everyone is welcome. Although don’t be afraid to come alone, it’s a great place to make friends too.
I only want to train for fitness, do I have to spar or fight?
Muay thai is a great way to keep fit, there is no pressure to spar or fight, we want all our students to come along and have fun.
How often should I train?
If you are training for general health and fitness, a couple of times a week is enough. Of course, the more you train, the more benefits you will see. For more serious trainers and fighters, we recommend you attend as many classes as possible with just one or two rest days a week. However, it is important to know your limits and listen to your body.

While we aim to have as much fun as possible, there are just a few rules that we need to follow in order to keep everyone safe on the mats.
Show respect to your trainer he is knowledgable and here to help. Ask questions.
Show respect to your teammates, learn from them too. Sparring means sparring and not fighting. Go easy on each other.
No shoes on the mats (we train barefoot).
Clean up after yourselves. - spray and wipes available for cleaning your gloves and pads. Personal hygiene is also important. Showers are available and please keep your nails trimmed.
Don’t ignore injuries. Your well being is our primary concern.
Smile and have fun.
